Focuses on the disagreements in the 1994-1997 discussions of the Conference on Fair Use and presents the Association of Research Libraries' summaries of concerns expressed by various bodies objecting to the guidelines produced by the Consortium of College and University Media Centers (CCUMC). Using 3 imaginary cases, illustrates the practical ramifications of adhering to the CCUMC guidelines and lists URLS for information on multimedia and fair use.</text>
